Overview
The Original DevQuery (also known as "DevQuery 1.0") was created to enable developers to access the
StackOverflow platform while in an environment that stops them from doing so normally.
Details
The Original DevQuery was used by inputting the target thread's ID. This would then be sent to a server,
which would download the requested page and send it back to the client (for download too). The Original
DevQuery would then automatically open the file in the default browser so the user can view it (just
seconds after starting the request).
Drawbacks
The Original DevQuery was unfortunately restricted to only StackOverflow, meaning any other restricted
website still could not be accessed. This, however, was addressed in the massive update of
DevQuery 2.0
Creation
The Original DevQuery was made on the 16th March 2024 @ 00:28 in Python. This was then developed and
tested over the next hour or so, eventually being revealed to the public on the same day @ 01:55.
Succession
The Original DevQuery was replaced by its successor, DevQuery 2.0, later on the 16th March 2024. More
information on that can be found by clicking the link above.
Future
We are disappointed to tell you that there is no future of the Original DevQuery. On the [UNKNOWN DATE],
the Original DevQuery was removed from public access due to a concern about potential rule-breaking.
